Newport News Man Claiming City Employment Wanted on Severe Crimes Against Children Warrants
NEWPORT NEWS, VA — A local man who publicly claims to be an employee of the City of Newport News has been arrested in connection with severe crimes against children. Karee S. Boswell, 24, of Newport News, had three felony warrants issued for his arrest on Friday, September 25, 2026. He has since been taken into custody and is currently being held at the Newport News City Jail.
EDITORS NOTE: Look at Karee’s track record: a slew of 2021 charges (check bottom of page for complete list) for possessing stolen goods and fleeing police were completely thrown out. Fast forward to April 2026, and a gun charge stemming from a prior involuntary commitment was similarly dismissed. This pattern of repeated leniency is a glaring, tragic example of how the criminal justice system completely failed a defenseless kid.

According to the active warrants database, Boswell is wanted on the following charges
-
Indecent Liberties with a Child Under 15 Years Old
-
Object Sexual Penetration of a Victim Under 13 Years Old
-
Aggravated Sexual Battery of a Victim Under 13 Years Old
A review of Boswell’s public social media presence raises significant questions regarding municipal oversight
